The "Good Conversation!" series brings the authors and their books to life.
With this educational and entertaining series of programs, your students will feel like they "know" the author -- and that helps make reading the author's books more enjoyable.
In-depth interviews. These are NOT just brief videos of the author talking to the camera. They're each approximately 20 minutes long, shot in and around the authors own home. Viewers meet the author's pets and family. See where they work. Learn about their hobbies and their writing habits.
A unique learning experience. Viewers get a rare behind-the-scenes perspective of the author's life and work.
Visually appealing. A great deal of care is placed on the production of each program, and we include a variety of indoor and outdoor locations to make the program interesting for young viewers.
Authors from around the world. We've traveled across the globe to interview authors -- from Dorset, England, to St. Andrewa, Scotland, to Laguna Beach, CA, and over 50 more cities and towns..
A unique literature enrichment tool and a great way to get the classroom discussion rolling.
Each program is over 20 minutes long and focuses on a modern children's classic.
A lively panel discussion. The fun begins when our panel of youngsters talk about the books major characters, its themes and how the book has affected their lives. (Sometimes agreeing with each other, sometimes disagreeing, but always having a good time.)
Features that enhance learning. Each program includes a variety of other features, such as Ask the Librarian, "man in the street" interviews, plot summaries told by a storyteller or magician, vocabulary games, and more.
Introduce important topics. "All About the Book!" helps you use literature as a springboard to the discussion of social issues.
Helps students express themselves. The programs motivates students to speak out in class, as they see other kids sharing their opinions about the book.
It's a great resource. "All About the Book!" gives teachers and librarians exciting ideas for questions, topics of discussion and assignments.
